Technological Design (Grade 11)

This course examines how technological design is used to meet human needs. Students will investigate the relationship between design, technology, and the environment.

Unit 1: Introduction to Technological Design

Students explore the technological design process and examine how design solutions are developed.

Unit 2: Design Principles and Creativity

Students investigate design principles and develop creative design solutions.

Unit 3: Engineering Concepts and Applications

Students explore engineering concepts used in technological design.

Unit 4: Design Technologies and Tools

Students learn how to use design tools and technologies to develop prototypes.

Unit 5: Design and Society

Students analyze the impact of technological design on society and the environment.

Unit 6: Culminating Design Project

Students complete a design project applying the technological design process.
