The Grade 7 Language course develops advanced reading, writing, and communication skills. Students explore a variety of literary and informational texts while learning to analyze themes, evaluate ideas, and communicate clearly in both written and oral forms. Students strengthen their ability to interpret texts, support opinions with evidence, and express ideas in organized and thoughtful ways.

Unit 1: Reading Development

Students analyze a wide range of texts including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and media. They explore themes, character development, and author perspectives while developing deeper comprehension strategies.

Unit 2: Writing Development

Students produce structured written work including narratives, reports, persuasive essays, and responses to literature. Emphasis is placed on clarity, organization, and supporting ideas with evidence.

Unit 3: Oral Communication

Students participate in discussions, presentations, and collaborative activities that strengthen listening skills and encourage thoughtful communication.

Unit 4: Media Literacy

Students examine how media messages are constructed and analyze how images, language, and sound influence audiences.
