The Arts

The Grade 6 Arts program encourages students to explore creative expression through visual arts, music, drama, and dance. Students experiment with artistic techniques while expressing ideas, emotions, and perspectives through creative work.

Unit 1: Visual Arts

Students develop artistic techniques through drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media while exploring artistic elements and design principles.

Unit 2: Music

Students strengthen musical understanding through rhythm, melody, listening, and performance activities.

Unit 3: Drama

Students explore storytelling, improvisation, and dramatic performance while expressing ideas through role-play and character development.

Unit 4: Dance

Students respond to music and ideas through movement while developing coordination, creativity, and expressive skills.
