Science and Technology

The Grade 6 Science and Technology course encourages students to explore scientific concepts through investigation and inquiry. Students examine natural systems and technological innovations while developing skills in experimentation, analysis, and scientific communication.

Unit 1: Life Systems

Students explore biodiversity and investigate how living things interact within ecosystems.

Unit 2: Matter and Energy

Students examine electricity and electrical devices while exploring how electrical energy is generated and used.

Unit 3: Structures and Mechanisms

Students investigate flight and explore how forces affect the movement of flying objects.

Unit 4: Earth and Space Systems

Students study space systems and explore the relationships between the Earth, Sun, Moon, and other celestial bodies.

Unit 5: Inquiry and Technology Skills

Students develop investigation skills including planning experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and communicating results.
