Core French (Grade 10)

This course provides opportunities for students to communicate and interact in French with increasing independence, with a focus on familiar topics related to their daily lives. Students will develop their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills and increase their understanding and appreciation of diverse French-speaking communities.

Unit 1: Personal Identity and Daily Life

Students develop communication skills while discussing topics related to everyday life.

Unit 2: Culture and Francophone Communities

Students explore traditions and cultural practices in French-speaking communities.

Unit 3: Media and Communication

Students analyze media texts in French and develop communication skills.

Unit 4: Storytelling and Literature

Students explore literary texts from French-speaking cultures.

Unit 5: Expressing Opinions and Ideas

Students develop the ability to express opinions in spoken and written French.

Unit 6: Culminating Communication Project

Students complete a project demonstrating their French language communication skills.
