Advanced Functions (Grade 12)

This course extends students' experience with functions. Students will investigate the properties of polynomial, rational, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions.

Unit 1: Polynomial Functions

Students explore polynomial functions and analyze their graphs and algebraic properties.

Unit 2: Rational Functions

Students investigate rational expressions and examine the behaviour of rational functions.

Unit 3: Exponential and Logarithmic Functions

Students analyze exponential growth and logarithmic relationships.

Unit 4: Trigonometric Functions

Students explore periodic functions and trigonometric identities.

Unit 5: Applications of Functions

Students apply advanced functions to solve real-world mathematical problems.

Unit 6: Culminating Mathematical Investigation

Students complete a final investigation applying multiple function concepts.
